The judges loved the raw barley note married with the malted barley and the proper measure of oak.

Brilliant, medium copper/bronze color. The aromatics are very intense, giving scents of honey, baked apple, butterscotch, and fruitcake with supporting notes of cereal and treacle. The palate echoes the nose delivering a baked apple-driven core with flavors akin to toffee, honey, and baking spices. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and pleasingly balanced with an opulent texture.
