Uncle Nearest Single Barrel – Batch 002 Straight Rye Whiskey

Versatile being excellent served neat with a mandatory splash of water or enjoyed in classic, stirred Whiskey cocktails.

The unique seaside accents were unexpected but did cause this delicious Rye to stand out.

Bright, medium tawny/amber color. The aromatics are very intense, giving scents of dark chocolate, date, roasted nuts, and charred oak with supporting notes of flint, iodine, and walnut. The palate is more intense than the nose delivering a black pepper-driven core with flavors reminiscent of fruitcake and butterscotch. The finish is hot. Full-bodied and largely balanced with an opulent texture.
