The judges say the amazing barrel character is redolent of a Sherry cask finish with subtle sweetness and rich fruit accents. Definitive of the style.

Brilliant, dark tawny color. The aromatics are very intense, giving aromas of dried fruits, ginger, leather, and rye with supporting notes of baked apple, apricot, pear, and allspice. The palate is in substantial agreement with the nose delivering a dried fruits-driven core with supporting flavors of rye, leather, almonds, and allspice. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and ideally balanced with a voluptuous texture.
