The judges found this to be a cocktail bar-quality Manhattan with balance, style, and complexity.

Brilliant, medium amber/mahogany color. The aromatics are very intense, offering aromas of red cherry, baking spices, and clove with supporting notes of red currant and treacle. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a fruited Whiskey-driven core with supporting flavors of caramel, ginger biscuits, Sherry, and orange peel. The finish is long and lingering. Medium to full-bodied and impeccably balanced with an opulent texture.
