The judges found the bitters note in this cocktail to be lovely and intriguing.

Brilliant, medium amber color. The aromatics are intense, giving scents of fruitcake and treacle with supporting notes of apricot stone and blanched almonds. The palate echoes the nose delivering a baked apple-driven core with flavors akin to candied ginger, fig, toasted walnuts, and red currant. The finish is long and lingering. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with an opulent texture.
