The judges were torn on the wood notes with some finding to be a bit overplayed and others liking the long, lingering oak accents.

Brilliant, pale amber color. The nose is subtle, offering scents of apricot stone, peach, and baking spices with supporting notes of agave, brown sugar, and hazelnut. The palate is in substantial agreement with the nose delivering a baked apple-driven core with flavors of cardamon, dried fruits, and oak. The finish is long and lingering. Medium to full-bodied and largely balanced with a succulent texture.
