The judges loved the balance and structure.

Bright, medium amber color. The aromatics are very intense, presenting scents of charred oak, baking spices, and agave with supporting notes of fruitcake and leather. The palate is softer than the nose delivering an agave-driven core with flavors reminiscent of vanilla bean, treacle, citrus, oak, and pear. The finish is dry. Medium-bodied and pleasingly balanced with a silky texture.
