Our judges found this to the archetypical American Rye.

Brilliant, deep mahogany color. The nose is subtle, offering scents of fruitcake, cocoa, and coffee with supporting notes of red cherry, caramel, and charred oak. The palate substantially agrees with the nose delivering a toffee-driven core with flavors akin to dried fruits and rye. The finish is sweet. Full-bodied and pleasingly balanced with a meaty texture.
