Brilliant, deep tawny/amber color. The aromatics are very intense, presenting scents of anise, black plum, candied ginger, and charred oak with supporting notes of blanched almonds, stone fruit, vanilla bean, and rye. The palate is in full accord with the nose delivering a toffee-driven core with flavors akin to caramel, grains, clove, and fig. The finish is long. Medium to full-bodied and flawlessly balanced with a velvety texture.
