The judges loved the pronounced cereal notes that "leapt from the glass".

Bright, medium mahogany color. The aromatics are very intense, presenting scents of baking spices, oak, fruitcake, vanilla bean, and brown sugar with supporting notes of cereal and fig. The palate is in full accord with the nose delivering a baking spices-driven core with flavors of black cherry, gingerbread, dried fruits, vanilla bean, and oak. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and ideally balanced with an opulent texture.
