The judges loved the new take on an Old Fashioned with a very approachable character.

Brilliant, medium amber color. The aromatics are intense, giving scents of red currant, sultanas, and baked apple with supporting notes of brown sugar and molasses. The palate echoes the nose delivering a red cherry-driven core with flavors akin to orange peel, maple syrup, and Sherry. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and pleasingly balanced with an opulent texture.
