Would make an amazing Old Pal (especially with DeGroff's aperitivo), and classic, stirred whisky cocktails like a Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Also would be great neat, or over one large rock.

The judges enjoyed the appealing and complex flavors, as well as the perfect integration of alcohol.

Brilliant, medium golden color. The aromatics are intense, giving scents of baking spices, rye, and pine with supporting notes of black tea, cedar, quince, malted barley, and smoked meat. The palate is in substantial agreement with the nose delivering a baking spices-driven core with flavors reminiscent of gingerbread, maple syrup, and red berries. The finish is sweet. Light to medium-bodied and pleasingly balanced with a juicy texture.
